I know it's a cliche, but it really is very important not to read the Koran or any other book of specialization without knowing the interpretations and descriptions of verses rather than interpretting them superficially. The Koran says "56:79 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: ", only those who are clean/pure (metaphorically) can interpret the Quran and it is from those whom we in turn intepret it.

Brother, I couldn't see where the verses in Chapter 2 (Albeqereh - The Cow, right?) talked about the things you posted. You must have the King James version rolleyes.gif

What? It must say that! blink.gif

Ill transalte another so you can see: verse 17 says:

the people that cant hear, cant talk and see , cant go back anymore" something like thta says, right? unsure.gif

Oh I see. That's actually verse 18:

"Deaf, dumb and blind; and they return not."

So you have the verse numbers at the end like in the Arabic. Some English translations include the verse number in the beginning like this:

"17. Deaf, dumb and blind; and they return not."

So when you said verse 80 where you referring to:

"81. Nay, but whosoever hath done evil and his sin surroundeth him; such are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein."

here's another useful book of tafseer by Allameh Tabatabaei: http://www.almizan.org/

You can see commentaries on individual chapters here http://www.almizan.org/Tafseer/

What I like about Tafseer Almizan is that it additionally includes narrative analysis following every few verses, which allows you to look up commentary on individual verses or if you prefer, topics.

Brother Andres,
May Allah enlighten you to his path. I just wanted to add an important saying of the prophet (a.w.a.s.):"انما جئت لئتمم مكارم الاخلاق" which means:"I came to complete good manners". By manners he meant they way we talk to each other and the way we live together. All together a moslim is interested to know his faith and in the same time is a social person interacting with the world.

that's right bro. wink.gif

In the Koran there is muhkem and there is muteshabeh. The former will be the same no matter what tafseer you have. It is the muteshabeh, or the non-explicit verses, which will have different interpretations in different tafseers.

Then I will ask him if he is sunni or shia...at least to know whose opinion is

This reminds me to cheap markets in Brazil....they all try to get me in their shop!

He's probably Sunni. Over 85% of Muslims are Sunni and I don't really know of many Shia or Shia organizations in South America. Maybe the only Shii in Uruguay is the Iranian Ambassador biggrin.gif
