Reading thru an old thread from last year about women in religion,I came to notice a comment about freedom and what it is...and is it compatible with organized religion.

I believe it is the only way to obtain real freedom satisfying our given nature completely, while others disagree.

If I were to list all I think is wrong and backwards with the wests concept of freedom I'd be stuck in here for days and I dont have time for that...  :p

Whats your view on what freedom is,and how do you experience it where you currently live?

Feemallah :)

Wa Salam.

Well I live in the States.  One rule that is supposed to be followed is, your rights stop when my rights are violated.  This isn't necessarily the case when the past two years I have seen so much attack on Islam.  I guess this is where the constiution comes in and says they have the right to do so.

Here is a question to through out, when a mo2mein reaches heaven, is that called the ultimiate freedom?  Can we truley do whatever we like?  Here on earth we have things like haram and hallal.  Will there be rules in heaven?

Allah be with you.

Thats not only in the states, but all over the west, more or less.
You are supposed to be protected by law, religious freedom, protected from harrasement and such. But when someone speaks their opinion of you or your beliefs in a not very nice way,to say it gently, all of a sudden it is their right to do so and you have to endure...and if you say anything about them,no matter how politely, you are a subject for investigation and oppression.
All people no matter what beliefs are supposed to be treated equal on the job market, but although you might have 5 years education and 8 years without any sickdays, you still only get the jobs no one else wants, picking up their dirt. And then they tell you to be grateful  :hmm:
What a load of crap...
Anyways...

Life is a test. When ,and if, one gets to Paradise, the test is over. There is no haram, and there is no temptations around to make you unbalanced.

One topic being very popular in periods among non-muslims is the promise of hurries for men when you reach Paradise. They have a problem with this, and wonders how come when a guy gets to Paradise he gets the prettiest girls and can enjoy(you know the meaning) himself as he pleases.

Their minds are dirty and obsessed with sex.
They can obviously not comprehend that there is something that works without sex having to be a part of it.

In life we have gotten desire for the opposite sex so we will keep the humanrase alive, without it we die out.
After this life, your soul goes on,your body dont.
In Paradise you do not need to populate, there is another way Paradise gets populated.
No body,no sexual desire... The hurries are not a reward in form of sexual satisfaction for all eternity, despite what many thinks.

There is many things you have and feel in this life, which belongs only to this world. It does not go with you.
It is your spiritual self that moves on,and all spiritual desires will be fulfilled.

You know, your question would need more space and knowledge then I have to be answered completely. So Inshallah some of the others will also jump into this discussion :)

Wa Salam Sister.

Did you explain to them that there are male hurries for sisters as well?   ;)

hmmm...I don't know about this one sis.  Do you have a source for that?  So when you say no sexual desire does that equal to no sex?  If you don't have the desire then why have sex?  You see what I'm saying?

Exactly!
The sexual act and its desire for it is created for the purpose of populating in this world.
When you die it is only your spiritual self that goes on.It goes on to a place not in need of bodily pleasures nor the desire for it.And the body is not existing anymore...
There are pleasures in Paradise, but not as the ones we are used to here.
I've read about it in a book on the net,but by whom I dont remember.
I think if you want details, you need to find books on it specifically...
I cant give much more then this since I havent gone further into it myself.

Feemallah
