Salam Alaikum,
Well based on what knowledge or proof are you saying that they are not better than us and not closer to Allah than us. They are infact the closest to Allah, that is why they show us what is right and what is wrong. Infact they have way more knowledge of our Ahlul Bait and 3aima (Alaih Salam) than anyone of us. Another thing, whatever they teach us or tell us (Aayatullah Seestani, Ayatullah Khoie...) is based on the teachings of Ahlul Bait and for your information, I have learnt that a Marja3 has direct communication with Imam Mahdi. Salam Alaikum,
Hmmm... Imam Mahdi, is the Imam who will appear soon. At that time we would hear a sound calling for help, if we heard it and if we were ready to be with Imam, we will be in his Army. There will be 2 kind of sounds, one of them will be of Kafir. If we didnt respond to our Imam then we will be killed by his sword. It depends on our faith towards Islam. M3a Salama. -------------------- KOLU YOUMIN 3ASHOORA, WA KOLU ARDIN KARBALA.

salam
Interesting point. Do you think Imam Mahdi will appear on a horse, carrying a sword or is that the image we'd like him to appear in? It seems unlikely that he'd fight tyrants who have fighter jets and nuclear bombs with a sword and dagger. I don't really have the answer. reza -------------------- "Only he can forgive who has power to punish!" -Imam Ali (as)

As Salam ALaikum,
Well all i know is that when Imam (A.S.) will appear it will be in Hajj, there will be 30 people going to hajj, Donno from where, but Imam will be one of them. Another thing that i know is that when imam calls and if we get up (it will be early in the morning) and walk outside our doors, we will be infornt of him. Which most likely is in Mecca. The other day my mom told me that when imam will come dead bodies will also rise from their graves to in his army. I asked how could that be possible, so she replied that there is a dua that they have read before they died, to wake them up when the Imam comes, so they could be in his army. M3a salama. -------------------- KOLU YOUMIN 3ASHOORA, WA KOLU ARDIN KARBALA.

Salaam alaikum, What you have written is a little misleading. Cats are not impure, nor is their hair. It's just that we can't pray with hair on us, from any animal that we can't eat. WaSalaam, Hajar |

Salaam alaikum, Right, no one said anything about salat, but I believe this could be where the misconception came from.
You can find this ruling in the risalah of your marja. It should be in the section on salat, subsection on clothing in salat. Some mujtahids (such as Sayyid Seestani) allow a single hair of a non edible animal on the prayer clothing, others don't allow any. I looked up a couple of rulings for you. Sayyid Seestani: 832. * The dress of one who is praying, apart from the small clothes like socks which would not ordinarily serve to cover the private parts, should not be made of any part of the body of a wild animal, nor, as an obligatory precaution, of any animal whose meat is haraam. Similarly, his dress should not be soiled with the urine, excretion, sweat, milk or hair of such animals. However, if there is one isolated hair on the dress, or if he carries with him, say, a box in which any such things have been kept, there is no harm. 833. If the saliva, or water from the nose, or any other moisture, from an animal whose meat is haraam to eat, like that of a cat, is on the body or the dress of a person in namaz, and if it is wet, the namaz will be void. But if it has dried up, and if its substance has been removed, then the prayer is valid. Sayyid Khamene'i Question 450: Does the existence of the hair or saliva of a cat on a person's clothes causes his prayers to be invalid? A: Yes, it causes the prayers to be invalid. WaSalaam, Hajar |

Salaam alaikum,
Yes, and the point I am trying to get across, is that cats are not najis (impure). They are tahir (clean), their hair is tahir as well. The only time there is a problem with them, is for salat, not in any other situation. Wasalaam, Hajar This post has been edited by Hajar: Aug 23 2004, 07:23 AM |
